The Marilyn Monroe Series

The Marilyn Monroe series is a project that I’ve fallen in love with.  I have always had a great fondness for Marilyn Monroe; the immense beauty of her soul and the tragedy that shaped it has always intrigued me. When it was suggested that I perhaps work on a series of Marilyn Monroe portraits I was hesitant. I wasn’t sure at first that I would be able to capture the essence of this incredible woman to the degree that I experienced it.

I hope that I’ve been able to, in some small way, capture some sense of the dark and tragic side of Marilyn with my “Black Series” as well as the love and light side that she brought to everyone through my “Spectrum Set” and I’m sure that I’ll be working on more pieces for the series as time progresses.
